Dyslexia Help UK, managed by Kirsten A Crosby, specialises in diagnostic assessments for dyslexia and other Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD), access arrangement assessments, workplace needs assessments, workplace coaching, specialist dyslexia tuition, study skills support, consultation services, and webinars. Your privacy is of utmost importance, and this policy explains how personal information is collected, used, and protected.

We collect personal data to contact you, schedule interviews, assessments, or tuition, and deliver our services. Background information may be gathered from schools, universities, or workplaces to ensure accurate assessments or tuition. The legal basis for holding this information is legitimate interest.

 

When Is Data Collected?

We collect personal information when you engage with our services. This includes biographical details (name, date of birth), contact details (address, email, telephone), educational history, and records of assessments or tuition. All data is handled securely in line with GDPR.

 

How Is Your Data Stored and For How Long?

Your personal data is securely stored in compliance with GDPR. Test papers and associated information are kept in accordance with advice from professional bodies and insurance companies. After the advised period, test papers are securely destroyed. Final reports are encrypted and stored for at least 6 years or until the individual reaches 24 years of age. For workplace assessments, tuition, and coaching, data is retained for 12 months unless legally required otherwise.

 

Who Do We Share This Information With?

We do not sell, rent, or exchange personal data with third parties. Information will only be shared with written permission, and is used solely for delivering assessments, tuition, and related services.

 

Access to Your Personal Information

You have the right to access, modify, delete, or obtain a copy of your data. Requests can be sent to info@dyslexiahelpuk.co.uk. We will respond within 20 working days. If unsatisfied, you may file a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

We adhere to the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) of May 2018 when processing any personal information. These regulations mandate registration with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

Third Party Service Providers

Our website uses Google Analytics to gather website traffic insights. WorldPay and Wix Payments are used for debit and credit card processing. Microsoft Office Forms collects booking information and background questionnaires before assessments and tuition/coaching. Google Analytics does not disclose user identities or link your IP address with other stored data.
